China Glaze Avant Garden - Pt. One

Hey All! It feels good to resume normal posting after the 31 Day Challenge. I loved doing the challenge and testing my creative skills - but I have so much to catch up on now! I have six of the new China Glaze Avant Garden Polishes to show you all - so I've split them up into two posts. In each post you will find swatches of the polishes as well as one nail design done with the three polishes.
Today I have the reds/pinks to show you. First I will show my nail art design, then you will find the three swatches on their own! I started with a base of Mimosa's Before Mani's, then let it dry, used some scotch tape & added a coat of Pinkie Promise, then added a tip using Snap My Dragon.

Here are the swatches of each color on their own:
This is Pinkie Promise. Pinkie Promise is an "iridescent baby pink". I didn't expect to like this color as much as I did - it's quite lovely and their is a subtle shimmer that is hard to capture on camera. The formula on this one was a bit thick, but with careful application - manageable. This is two coats with no top coat.

This is Snap My Dragon. Snap My Dragon is a "bright red with pink shimmer". This color is seriously so gorgeous and I am so in love with it. There is a gorgeous shimmer to it, and application was so smooth.

This is Mimosa's Before Mani's. MBM is a "coral with a light wash of shimmer". The shimmer in this one is definitely more prominent in person. It has somewhat of a golden undertone. It's a pretty color that I enjoyed looking at on its own.
Overall, I loved these three shades - I felt they were perfect for Spring. I love that they aren't super pastel shades and there's a bunch of bright colors with subtle shimmer in the collection.
China Glaze Avant Garden will be available in March 2013.
