It's Day 30 of the New 31 Day Challenge with Crumpet's Nail Tarts & the challenge today is to create a manicure using my favorite nail art technique. This was simple, I love using a dotting tool and creating fun dot nails! I decided to try something I haven't done before and do a design that spreads across all my nails. My inspiration was a painting of a sunset using dots (which I cannot find for the life of me). I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green & Emerald City for the green grass, China Glaze Solar Power & Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow for the yellow sun, China Glaze Papaya Punch & Roguish Red for the red/orange rays & Julep Donna & ULTA Blue Streak for the blue sky. For my first attempt at an all nail mani mural - I think it turned out good. Too bad I had so much trouble getting my nails close to each other without being super awkward!
Tomorrow's Challenge is to Re-Create Someone Else's Mani from this Challenge!
These are so adorable, Heather! I love how you have the sun setting across all 4 nails, and the colours are just so cheerful. I'd never have thought to add those red dots to the yellow/orange "inside" part, but it really adds some nice depth to the whole scene!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I'm gonna do me some dots later!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I have a terrible time getting my fingers close together for pics, too. I am jealous of the swatches that are like that!
