Happy Saturday! It's Day 12 of the New 31 Day Challenge with Crumpet's Nail Tarts and today we bring you - tape manis! I love, love, love tape manis and the designs I've seen. Now for honesty, I am way to impatient to do tape manis that much. I hate waiting and when I'm doing my nails, I want to do them right away. I have been trying to use tape more because of the clearly defined lines it gives. So I bring to you probably my third or fourth tape mani! It was a laborious process, waiting for each layer to dry - but the end result is gorgeous! I picked different colors that would contrast against each other for a bright mani.
Here's What I Used:
All Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Polishes
Yellow: Mellow Yellow
Peach/Coral: Coral Reef
Blue: Pacific Blue

ReplyDeleteMakes me think just shy of.candy corn...I also like the color combo. When I first stumbled onto nail blogs, the first one I read (from the beginning to what seems to be its unfortunate end since there have been no posts since April of last year) was Chloe's Nails. The blogger is/was Erika and the way she could wield Scotch tape fascinated me. I have a theory/belief that Erika was the first nail artist to use Scotch tape (she started her own blog on 8/30/10, though she'd been posting her Scotch tape designs in the Make-Up Alley forums prior to that), though what she started has taken great, amazing leaps of creativity in the technique by nail artists since. There is a question here: do you happen to be aware of anyone who used Scotch tape to create mani designs before 8/30/10? Thank you for reading my ramble. :)
